One of the great blessings of being a Cooperative Baptist Fellowship congregation is the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with ministry partners who are serving Christ in communities around the world. This July, we are excited to welcome our CBF Encourager Church partner, Janee Angel, who will be living in Ardmore’s Welcome House for the month of July.
Janee serves faithfully through CBF, and we are grateful for the partnership we share with her ministry. During her stay, she will be accompanied by her two daughters, Phoebe and Maria Grace. We hope our church family will help them feel at home during their time in Winston-Salem by offering a warm welcome, a friendly conversation, and plenty of Ardmore hospitality.
In addition to residing in the Welcome House, Janee will be sharing with our congregation in several meaningful ways. She will be our guest preacher during worship on Sunday, July 12, giving us the opportunity to hear about the work God is doing through her ministry and to be encouraged by the message she brings. Then, on Sunday, July 19, at 9:30 AM Janee will lead a special Pop-Up Study during the Sunday Bible Study hour in the Fellowship Hall. This will be a wonderful opportunity to learn more about her ministry, hear stories from the field, and engage in conversation about how God is at work through our broader CBF family. Additionally, all the women of the church are invited to an Ice Cream Social on Sunday, July 19 at 5:00 PM. This is organized by the Women’s Ministry and will be another opportunity to hear from Janee and the amazing work she is doing for the Lord.
As a church, we often speak about being connected to God’s mission beyond the walls of our congregation. Hosting Janee and her family is one tangible expression of that commitment. I hope you will join me in praying for Janee, Phoebe, and Maria Grace as they travel and settle into the Welcome House, and that you will take advantage of these opportunities to get to know them during their month with us.
Please join me in extending a heartfelt Ardmore welcome to Janee, Phoebe, and Maria Grace!
Grace and peace,
Rev. Dr. Tyler Tankersley
