On Saturday afternoon, September 20, magic will happen in our sanctuary at 4:00pm.  Some 90 singers comprised of the Ardmore Adult Choir along with guest singers, our brass ensemble and handbell choir, grand piano and magnificent pipe organ will all join in worship, praise and thanksgiving as we present, “O, For A Thousand Tongues To Sing!”.

The music for this presentation is arranged and conducted by composer David Schwoebel.  David has written and orchestrated countless pieces of sacred music, most of which you already know the tunes. How can you not hunger for the messages that live embedded in these wonderful songs:

“O for a Thousand Tongues to Sing”, “Come, Thou Fount of Every Blessing”, “O God, Our Help in Ages Past”, “O God Beyond All Praising”, “My Savior’s Love”, “An Expression of Gratitude” and “And Can It Be?”.

This version of “And Can It Be?” is brand new.  It was commissioned by Ardmore Baptist Church in honor of our own Dr. Jim Davidson as he retires from his years of faithful service to the church.  We are honored to perform the premier of this fascinating arrangement by David Schwoebel.
