Saturday, our community gathered for the simple and beautiful purpose of being together, and it was joyful!
The Children’s Ministry hosted the first of what we hope will be many monthly playground events, inviting our church family, our weekday preschool families, and our neighbors to come play, visit, and enjoy our new playground together. With an ice cream truck on hand, there was plenty of excitement as children and parents gathered to enjoy a sweet treat and even sweeter time together.
There was something wonderful about watching children run, play, and laugh while parents and neighbors connected with one another. The playground quickly became more than a place to play. It became a place to build relationships and experience the joy of community. A special thank you to Timeless Treats for helping make our first event so sweet!
This is just the beginning! Mark your calendars for the next few opportunities to gather:
Painting Pumpkins on the Playground
October 24 at 11 a.m.
Ardmore Art Walk
November 7 – We’ll be playing together and giving out water as we connect with our neighbors.
Hot Chocolate on the Playground
December 5 at 11 a.m. – We’re hosting a hot chocolate truck!
We can’t wait to see how God continues to use this new playground to connect us—with one another and with our neighbors. Sometimes ministry looks like a conversation, a shared laugh, a scoop of ice cream, or a cup of hot chocolate.
So come play, come visit, and come be part of the joy. We’ll see you on the playground!
