Nurturing faith in every child

Children

We believe that children are an essential part of our faith family. Our Children’s Ministry provides a safe, welcoming environment where children from birth through 6th grade are valued, included, and embraced.

Together, we explore God’s love, nurture faith, and equip children to live out their beliefs with joy and service.

Experiencing God

We aim to help children:

Experience God’s Love

Through the person of Jesus, we guide children to see God’s love in their lives and understand they are deeply known and cherished.

Recognize the Holy Spirit

By fostering curiosity and wonder, we help children notice the ways God is at work in their world.

Engage Faith with Heart and Mind

Our programs encourage children to explore their faith intellectually and emotionally, connecting what they learn to how they live.

Sundays

Sunday mornings are a time for children to learn, grow, and connect.

Sunday Morning Bible Study

9:30 AM - 10:30 AM

Children (birth–6th grade) gather in age-based groups to learn about God and what it means to be God’s children. Through scripture, prayer, creative activities, and engaging questions, children deepen their understanding of faith in ways that connect with their developmental stage.

Ways children participate in worship:

Children are integral to worship at Ardmore Baptist. They participate in services by:

Ushering and acolyting

Reading scripture and leading litanies

Singing and praying alongside the congregation

Sunday Afternoon Discipleship & Music

3:45 PM - 6:00 PM

Children explore faith through age-appropriate learning about the Christian year, symbols of faith, and what it means to follow Jesus. Music opportunities include handbells, handchimes, choir, orff instruments, guitar, and world music, helping children offer praise to God while building confidence in musical expression.

Age-appropriate learning

Childcare

We take the care of children seriously, offering childcare for all church-wide events for children pre-K and younger. Worship Care is available during worship services, and Sunday afternoon childcare supports our Discipleship and Music programs.
