Programs at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, Wake Forest (1999-2011); and J.C. Penney, Statesville (1975-1999).

Born in Statesville, NC, she attended Mitchell Community College and Southeastern Baptist College.

From Janet:

In my spare time I love spending time with my family, cooking, doing crossword puzzles, reading, and being outdoors.

The definition of hero is “man of superhuman strength or physical courage” and the definition of inspiration is “the process of being mentally stimulated.” This describes my husband, Rodney! He is my hero and inspiration! I have seen him overcome situations by not detouring from God’s Promise and standing firm. I see him diligently studying God’s Word in order to grow and lead not only our family, but other people to The Lord. When I feel like I am struggling to do God’s will, Rodney is there to get me back on the right track! I am also inspired by David Platt who is deeply devoted to disciple-making and spreading the gospel to all the nations.

I am in the ministry not because I think God called me, but because I know God called me to do this! I thank God every day for allowing me this privilege!

Something most people don’t know about me is that I am a Pastor’s wife and I am a risk taker! I love to push myself just to see what I am capable of doing. I never want to look back over my life and wonder, “what if!” I love to go white water rafting, I love doing zip lines (after my heart settles), I love meeting my friends and going to my Zumba or Line-dancing classes, I love going on mission trips! I love working with the homeless! My prayer every day is for the Lord to use me!
